eople for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is being sued by a family from Virginia. The family is seeking $9 million in damages after two senior employees of PETA stole their chihuahua, and then had the dog put down.
Victoria Carey and Jennifer Woods can be seen on the family’s home security cameras, first chasing Maya down. After they get a hold of her, they shove her into a white van and take off with her.
Fast foreword four months later, and PETA is informing the family that they had the dog euthanized. State law does require that any animals brought in as strays or by animal control be held for five days before either putting the animal up for adoption or euthanizing them.

Is 4 years old too young to play alone outside? It might not matter how you answer that question: Your neighbors and the police might just decide for you.
That’s what happened to Sonya Hendren when she let her 4-year-old son, Tomahawk, play on their gated Sacramento, California, apartment complex playground by himself. She felt her son could handle playing unsupervised 120 feet from her apartment’s front door, but her neighbor disagreed. According to local news outlet CBS8, the neighbor, Sonja Horrell, reported Hendren to Child Protective Services, and Hendren was arrested for felony child neglect and endangerment.
What started off as a bit of a joke has turned into a lucrative business for partners, Moses Lam and Troy Paquette.
They began by selling a Ziploc bag of air on Ebay. “Literally we waved it and then we sealed it up and taped it up,” said Lam. The bag sold, after one month, for 99 cents. The second bag, however, netted them $168.
