In the absurd news of the day…
Students are often encouraged to bring canned goods to school for food drive or other charitable events. But administrators at W.F. Burns Middle School in Valley, Ala., sent a letter home with students on Friday asking them to bring in canned food for a more unusual reason: to throw at potential gunmen.
For the first time, tiny artificial motors have voyaged through the body of a living animal, successfully delivering a cargo of nanoparticles directly into the stomach wall. Although it will still be many years before we see microscopic machines scurrying around our own bodies and carrying out various medical tasks, the brains behind the current study see this as a significant step towards this ultimate goal.

Obama “Hails Saudi King”
The White House on Thursday praised the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia, a longtime close ally of the United States — if sometimes a troublesome one.
“He took bold steps in advancing the Arab Peace Initiative, an endeavor that will outlive him as an enduring contribution to the search for peace in the region. At home, King Abdullah’s vision was dedicated to the education of his people and to greater engagement with the world.”
Let’s talk about some of his “praiseworthy” deeds, shall we?
Nine years after the United States vowed to shut down the money pipeline that finances terrorism, senior Obama administration officials say they believe that many millions of dollars are flowing largely unimpeded to extremist groups worldwide, and they have grown frustrated by frequent resistance from allies in the Middle East, according to secret diplomatic dispatches.
A classified memo sent by Mrs. Clinton last December made it clear that residents of Saudi Arabia and its neighbors, all allies of the United States, are the chief financial supporters of many extremist activities. “It has been an ongoing challenge to persuade Saudi officials to treat terrorist financing emanating from Saudi Arabia as a strategic priority,” the cable said, concluding that “donors in Saudi Arabia constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide.”
A WikiLeaks released memo from the United States Secretary of State sent in 2009 asserted that the primary source of funding of Sunni terrorist groups worldwide was Saudi Arabia.
The Sauds do the same things that Iran does except with impunity. And,snub us,diplomatically, while doing that.

But you know this isn’t surprising. Hell, bush did similar, when he and the king visited each other.
