In this episode, my guest Joe Long and I discuss the protests happening nationwide, as well as racism and the future of cyber warfare.

Since this was an off-the-cuff discussion, there are no real show noted to share.

Below, you will find links to the news stories talked about in this episode.

http://news.yahoo.com/sentencing-man-kept-4-sons-filthy-home-074104901.html

A man was sentenced to 5 years in prison after his 4 children were found, emaciated and malnourished, completely non-verbal and unable to even identify food properly.

This, after he had already lost 3 children before, for the exact same reasons, in 2006.

Judge J. Eric Elliff said Wayne Sperling, 67, made outrageous excuses for neglecting the boys to the point where they could not recognize food and did not learn his lesson after an earlier child-abuse conviction cost him custody of three other children.

“The message is, you’ve got to treat your children with dignity and respect,” Elliff said. “They’re not pets. They are not possessions. They are human beings that need to be carefully nurtured. That didn’t happen here.”

His wife was sentenced fo 90 days in jail and 5 years probation.

Now, here’s my take on things…

http://news.yahoo.com/police-boy-2-accidentally-kills-mom-wal-mart-201635957.html

A 2 year old boy shot and killed his mother after he got a handgun from her purse and aimed it at her, while they were shopping in Wal-Mart.

She had a concealed weapons permit. Stu Miller  spokesman for the police dept in Spokane, WA, said the young boy was left in a shopping cart, reached into his mother’s purse and grabbed a small-caliber handgun, which discharged one time.

Deputies who responded to the Wal-Mart found Rutledge dead, the sheriff’s office said.

Now, the reason I wanted to bring this article up is the fact that, in the article, they don’t just talk about this incident, which, yes, is a tragedy and never should have happened.

The mother knew the gun was in the purse, she should have kept the purse on her at all mometns.  That’s just irresponsible to do otherwise.

However, in the artticle, they then go on to talk about this…

“daho lawmakers passed legislation earlier this year allowing concealed weapons on the state’s public college and university campuses.

Despite facing opposition from all eight of the state’s university college presidents, lawmakers sided with gun rights advocates who said the law would better uphold the Second Amendment.

Under the law, gun holders are barred from bringing their weapons into dormitories or buildings that hold more than 1,000 people, such as stadiums or concert halls.”

Now, I understand the tie0-in here, a little, because the lady was from Idaho.

BUT…  What does any of that actually have to do with the article, and with the 2 year old shooting the mother?

NOTHING AT ALL.

Not one thing.

Two completely seperate issues, and it is obvious that this was being used as a platform for gun control.

Here’s some statistics for you, if you want to go in a different direction, people…

1242 deaths by airplane accidents

12000 due to unnecessary surgery

27000 hospital error – meds, etc

80000 infections gotten in hospitals

106000 death by drug reactions

2500 from Makeup

41000 deaths by poison

STATS from the AMA journal of medicine 2013

How about we ban medicine?  Lots more deaths due to that than anything else, man.

Which brings me to my next story…

http://news.yahoo.com/flu-epidemic-levels-u-deadly-children-223850785.html

So far there have been 15 deaths of children due to the current flu season and the virus that has been spreading.

The CDC is calling this an epidemic.

15 deaths.  An epidemic.

\

As epidemic flu spreads across the United States, with 15 child deaths reported in nine states so far this year, federal health officials said on Tuesday they could not yet predict the severity of the current season.

With flu season extending from the fall into the spring, the toll is likely to increase, said Joe Bresee, Epidemiology and Prevention Branch chief for the CDC’s influenza division.

“Flu is amazingly unpredictable,” Bresee said. “As flu becomes more common and more intense over the next few weeks, unfortunately those death numbers and hospitalization numbers will continue to rise.”

There were 109 child flu deaths in the last flu season, according to the CDC.

And, of course, the call is for the vaccinations to happen.

Bresee urged people who have not yet been vaccinated to get their flu immunizations, which the CDC recommends for nearly everyone over the age of six months.

Even though the vaccine that is currently available is NOT for the strain of flu that is going around this seasson, and would be completely ineffectual, according to the CDC themselves.

They have stated MANY times in the past that the flu vaccine does NOT work when it is a different strain than the vaccine covers.

Rememebr the whole swine flu debacle?  That was all that was talked about.

Oh, we are in trouble! The vaccine we have is ineffective because it’s a different strain!”

So why the BS change to THIS new repetition in the news cycles?

Why all of a sudden is it NOW effective to use a different strain?

Course, this is all barring the fact that the vaccine doesn’t do anything but GIVE you the flu ANYHOW, right?

Ugh.

Finally, I wanted to bring one last story in to the mix, because it’s something that I get into a little with the guest tonight.

A Delaware mother has started a petition to force Target stores to apologize to the black community for using white models instead of black models to advertise theri Annie movie tie-in clothing line.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/targets-ads-new-annie-inspired-760742

It was started by  Rinique Shelton after she was surfing with her daughter, an Annie addict, and her daughter posed the question, ” That’s not what Annie looks like. How come the new black Annie isn’t good enough? Does that mean I’m not good enough?'”

Sheldon said,  “I explained to her that the original Annie was white, and that both Annies are beautiful, and that sometimes people make mistakes and have to apologize for them.”

Now wait just a damn minute, here.

What, exactly, does Target have to apologize FOR? They made an ad, with clothing to sell to people of all colors and creeds, and that’s that.  Why did the woman not say to the child, “The original Annie was a white, red haired girl with freckles.  Does the fact that she was white not make her good enough?”

This could have been a teaching opportunity to try to change the way the child sees color, not MAKE her see color.

But, no, the mother just had to take the opportunity to spread yet more racial divisions, this time to the next generation.

We have GOT to get away from this stupidity, people.
This is EXACTLY the kind of thing that the dark masters just LOVE to see.

Music in this episode:
