Who or what is Lucifer? Want to hear the REAL truth?

Is he Satan, or the Devil, or something else entirely?

You’ll find out, right here on Open Eyes.

The following are the show notes used while recording this episode.  They are here for your reference and convenience

Before beginning, I wanted to talk about a story that I ran across today.

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/exclusive-nypd-warned-militant-group-plans-shoot-cops-article-1.2036616?cid=bitly

A tattooed gang of militants declared open season on the NYPD in the wake of the Eric Garner grand jury decision, according to a threat a police union verified Saturday.

Ten Black Guerrilla Family members are “preparing to shoot on duty police officers,” Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins said.

So, here we go.

I have a few thoughts on this real fast.

First, if something like this occurs, it’s something that thew police departments have brought upon themselves.

As was said in another article about the subject, police have had no interest in changing their ways or violence and suppression on the public.

http://todaysnewsgazette.com/chokehold-cop-was-sued-daniel-pantaleo-sued-before/

Defense attorney Michael Colihan wrote in August, “To put it mildly, many police on Staten Island have been playing fast, loose and violently with the public they seem to have forgotten they are sworn to protect.   After litigating about 200 of these civil rights matters in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York since 1977, I have seen no interest by the managers of the New York City Police Department, or anyone employed by the city of New York, in doing anything to stop this.”

Anyone with eyes can see that the police have become much more militant in recent years, and what we are now seeing is one militant group being stood up to by another militant group.

Definition of militant?

“Combative and aggressive in support of a political or social cause, and typically favoring extreme, violent, or confrontational methods”

The problem is, this kind of action against the police is going to lead to even more issues for the public, who want nothing to do with any of this nonsense.  The cops are going to be even more on edge, you’re going to hear about even more deaths, violence and stupidity on all sides, and, in the end, we’re going to have an even tighter hold put on us than ever.

What a mess.

Now, on to the real topic of this show…

The question of Lucifer…

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

Isaiah 14:12

When people think of the word Lucifer, some things immediately come to mind, whether you are religious or non-religious.

Most people, especially of the religious bent, think of an entity…

equated with Satan

Is the devil

Is an angel of light

Is able to deceive people by appearing as a good guy…

It seems that almost everyone equates Satan and Lucifer together.  You hear the terms “satanic, Luciferian agenda” or, simply, Luciferian agenda.

You hear that the Illuminati worship Lucifer, hence, the name Illuminated ones and such.

A demon, an antichrist figure, a dark overlord come to bring us into the realms of sin and death and destruction!

But, is that the case?

Or are we dealing with a misunderstood entity, one that has gotten a bbad rep, per se, by hanging with the bad kids on the wrong side of the tracks?

In fact, the truth of things is much, much, different than you may know.

Ready to hear it?

Here goes…

There’s no such thing as an entity named Lucifer.

Oh, now wait a minute before you start dragging out the pitchforks and ready me for steak tartar.

Let me take you back to a simpler time.  A happier time.  At least, for the Catholic Church.

They were just coming into their power.  It was the year 382AD.  Pope Damasus I sat on the golden throne (although, at that time, it wasn’t gold and it wasn’t a throne.  They didn’t have all their money flowing by that point.  Yet.)

A man, a monk, named Jerome (later sainted) was given the command by the pope to create a new version of the Bible.  It was, at that time, known as the Vetus Latina, or Old Latin, translation.

The Old Latin translation was widely used, but there were so many other translations flying around at that time (After all, it was only 60 or so years after the Council of Nicea, where the Bible as we know it today was decided upon).

The church wanted to have a singular translation, one that would be acceptable by the masses and the church at large, and would, eventually, become the only translation accepted by the Catholic Church.  The Verio Vulgata, or, simply the Vulgate.  Roughly translated, it means the version commonly used.

It started off with translating from the Old Latin and the Septuagint, and by the time it was all said and done, he had translated everything into this new Latin version, taking sources from the Hebrew bible (the Old Testament) and different translations of the rest of the texts.

It was a pretty good feat, all things considered, and was a pretty major undertaking.

Smart guy, he.

There is, however, one glaring problem.

The Lucifer problem.

Here’s where it starts…

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

Ahh yes.  Lucifer.

What a great and horrible beast this demonic entity must be!

You see, those that have come out with saying, “Oh this great devil, this Satan, this Lucifer!  He is out to get us all!  He is bringing sin and death and destruction to us all!”

They say, “Beware, children!  BE GOOD!  Obey the rules or Lucifer will come in the night and take your soul!”

“He is waiting for you in the pit! He will flay your soul for eternity! RECEIVE JESUS and save your soul from damnation at the hands of Satan, of Lucifer and his demonic fallen angels!”

I grew up in a Baptist church.  Trust me, I know the hellfire and brimstone preaching way.

But let’s take that verse in a little bit of context, shall we?

For ease of listening, I will read from the NIV translation of the Bible, but you’ll get the point.

Isaiah 14, starting at verse 3 (and remember, verse 12 is the Lucifer part…)

On the day the Lord gives you relief from your suffering and turmoil and from the harsh labor forced on you, 4you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon:

How the oppressor has come to an end!

How his furya has ended!

5The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked,

the scepter of the rulers,

6which in anger struck down peoples

with unceasing blows,

and in fury subdued nations

with relentless aggression.

7All the lands are at rest and at peace;

they break into singing.

8Even the junipers and the cedars of Lebanon

gloat over you and say,

“Now that you have been laid low,

no one comes to cut us down.”

9The realm of the dead below is all astir

to meet you at your coming;

it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you—

all those who were leaders in the world;

it makes them rise from their thrones—

all those who were kings over the nations.

10They will all respond,

they will say to you,

“You also have become weak, as we are;

you have become like us.”

11All your pomp has been brought down to the grave,

along with the noise of your harps;

maggots are spread out beneath you

and worms cover you.

12How you have fallen from heaven,

morning star, son of the dawn!

You have been cast down to the earth,

you who once laid low the nations!

13You said in your heart,

“I will ascend to the heavens;

I will raise my throne

above the stars of God;

I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,

on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.b

14I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;

I will make myself like the Most High.”

15But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,

to the depths of the pit.

16Those who see you stare at you,

they ponder your fate:

“Is this the man who shook the earth

and made kingdoms tremble,

17the man who made the world a wilderness,

who overthrew its cities

and would not let his captives go home?”

18All the kings of the nations lie in state,

each in his own tomb.

19But you are cast out of your tomb

like a rejected branch;

you are covered with the slain,

with those pierced by the sword,

those who descend to the stones of the pit.

Like a corpse trampled underfoot,

20you will not join them in burial,

for you have destroyed your land

and killed your people.

Go back and listen a bit if you need to get it clearly though.

The context of the verse clearly shows that what is being referred to is a man, specifically the King of Babylon, the king that had kept the Jews in captivity for years.

Isaiah was not talking about some fallen angel from heaven, cast out by god for wanting to be like him, nor was he the snake in the garden as some people try to claim.

No.  The prophet is clearly speaking about a specific person, in a specific place, at a specific time.

Now, how could this have happened?  How have we come to see things as some mythological figure out to get us all?

It started, because Jerome made a mistake.

When translating that specific verse, Isaiah 14:12… the word Lucifer was given a proper name status.

In other words, until that moment in time, there was no concept of some evil entity out to get everyone.  There was no concept of some fallen angel out to doom mankind with his lies and betrayals.

Until that moment in time, Lucifer did not exist.

Think about this…

Hebrews, whom this message was written for, by Isaiah, had no concept of a being called Lucifer.

And, despite what some may claim, they had no real concept of a Devil named Satan, either.

Satan, the word, is derived from the Hebrew “satan,” which means “adversary.”  Sometimes, it would be “ha-satan” which means, literally, “the Adversary.”

The word would be used any time there was an adversary involved with you.

In other words, if someone stood against you on something, they were satan.  they were the adversary.

Even God is referred to multiple times in the Old Testament as satan, because he stood in adversarial-ship against people or nations.

And yet, now, we have this entity, this being, that is called Satan or the Devil or Lucifer, and we have a world of trouble on our hands because of it.

How many people through history have been killed, destroyed, had everything taken away from them, because of being accused of being in league with Satan?

How many children are born right now and raised in abject misery because they are fearful, oppressed and berated about Lucifer and Satan?

So much meaningless death and despair, all because people translated something wrong, and others ran with it and made up this whole stupid business.

And we laugh at those people in the ancient days that worshiped all those different gods, sacrificed animals and children to them to appease them, gave away their lives in servitude to those that demanded it.

We laugh at them, and wonder how they could have ever fallen into such a  stupid trap, or behave so idiotically.

Then we look around and see millions of people doing it right…. this… moment.

Jesus was also called Lucifer in the Vulgate

Want something else added to all of this?

Jesus was referred to as the Morning Star, too.

How about this…

2 Peter 1:19

Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place–until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.

Clearly, talking about Christ, and yet the exact same wording was being used to talk about him and Lucifer.

The word Lucifer is also used at least 4 more times throughout the Latin Vulgate, but it is clearly not referencing some fallen angel in those contexts, either.

The problem was perpetuated when the King James Version was published.

Unlike any other translations, the KJV still give s Lucifer proper name status in that Isaiah verse, and in no other translation does it appear like that.  In all of thoose, it’s properly translated as “morning star”, “Light of the morning,” etc.

Folks, this is some seriously dark age mentality going on with all of this.

We have GOT to move past this stuff, so that we can stop being decieved and get to the real heart of issues.

The dark masters, those ones that are in control of things, they love the fact that people ascribe all of the evils that go on to this being Lucifer.  Heck, they PERPETUATE the mythos, by setting up institutions like the Lucifer Society, the Satanic cult, the Lucifer Trust, on and on and on.

Seriously.  Know the truth.

if you have heard this, and you do your research and you come to understand for yourself that what i am saying here is the reality of the situation, you will be able to see right through the crap that gets spewed out of the mouths of some people.

You can hear someone talking about “Jesus told me that Lucifer is rising to power, and we have to stand strong against him!”  If you hear things like that, you instantly know it’s a falsehood.  Lucifer does not exist.

And, if you want to cover your ears and “lalala” as you say that stupid line about “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist,” that is fine.

That is your right to do so.  But did you know where that line comes from?  From a movie, called The Usual Suspects.

Not some great, profound thinker of the renaissance era, not some wonderful preacher that spoke words of wisdom and peace.

Nope.  It was Kevin Spacey.

Just making sure all the facts get straightened out with all of this.

So much deception.

Lucifer must be laughing his red butt off at it all.

Now, does all of this mean that there aren’t people out WITH some kind of s”satanic, evil, agenda”?

Not at all.

People will do as people do.  There will always be those around that try to perpetuate evil and bring us further into darkness.

I understand, just because I know the truth of things and I don’t believe in any of the mythos, doesn’t mean that THEY don”t.  I know far better.

There truly are those out with some evil, hell-bent intentions for us all.

But we don’t have to fall into their mythology and get even more conffused and NOT see the TRUTH of what they are DOING, does it?>

That’s the point of all of this.

Oh, and, in case you are wondering, what really IS the morning star that is always being referred to?

That’d be Venus.

It has, for almost the entirety of human history, been known as and referred to as the Morning Star.

It also travels through the sky in a pentagram formation.

Hence, the pentagram symbolism you see always associated with “Lucifer”.

It’s all a riddle, guys.

And you now have the key.

Outro

There really is so much more to this, but I could go on about it for hours and still not cover it all.

This will make a good starting point, though.

Do your research.  Find the truth.  You’ll see that it’s a lot deeper, and a lot more mundane, than a lot of people try to say it is.

Stop being afraid of these ancient things, these things that have haunted us for thousands of years.

Stop being caught in the trap that caught up our ancestors.  We don’t have to be afraid of the dankness anymore.  We’ve moved past that.

Stop believing the lies.
