Kim Davis, the defiant Kentucky county clerk, was found in contempt of court and taken into federal custody — and she will be spending the night in jail.

U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning ordered Davis, the Rowan County clerk, to be jailed on the contempt charges until she agrees to comply with multiple court orders to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

“The court cannot condone the willful disobedience of its lawfully issued order,” Bunning said. “If you give people the opportunity to choose which orders they follow, that’s what potentially causes problems.”

The judge ordered Davis held indefinitely because he did not believe fines would be enough to compel her to follow the law because he suspected her supporters would pay those penalties.

Her office refused to issue a marriage license to a same-sex couple as recently as Thursday morning, before Davis and her staff closed the office to make the half-hour trip from Morehead to Ashland.

Five of the six deputy clerks in Rowan County told Bunning in subsequent court hearings that they would agree to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The one deputy who refuse to comply was Davis’ 21-year-old son, Nathan, who works under his mother in the office.

Davis could have avoided jail time if she allowed the deputy clerks to issue licenses to same-sex couples, but she told the federal judge she would not grant her authority to her employees to do so.

Despite her refusal, her office will begin issuing licenses Friday morning. Couples, however, will be marrying “at their own risk.” It is unclear if the licenses will be legally valid.

A Rowan County attorney said in an interview that the deputy clerks would have issued marriage licenses to same-sex couples but were too afraid of her to disagree.

“Davis is acting alone in her zealous mission,” wrote Shannon Ragland, of the Kentucky Trial Court Review. “Her conduct has terrorized not just her staff but everyone that works in the courthouse. And all for a foolish mission aided by out-of-state charlatan lawyers trying to raise money for their ‘religious liberty’ mission.”

Officials at a day care center are apologizing to parents after two workers were charged with instigating scuffles among the young children as part of what police and prosecutors are calling a “Fight Club.”

After the workers were charged Tuesday with child abuse, the Lightbridge Academy center in Cranford said in a statement that it was “shocked and saddened by this isolated incident.”

Center officials say they learned of the allegations in mid-August and suspended the workers — Erica Kenny, 22, of Cranford, and Chanese White, 28, of Roselle. Both were fired a short time later and are due to be arraigned Friday.

The center has been cooperating with the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, which investigated the case. The officials say prosecutors limited the amount of information they were allowed to disclose while the investigation was ongoing so as not to put the probe at risk.

Prosecutors and police say Kenny and White instigated the “Fight Club” among children ages 4 to 6 on at least one day last month. Authorities also said Kenny recorded video of the fights and shared the clips with several friends on social media.

Union County investigators say about a dozen boys and girls are shown in the clips shoving one another to the ground and trying to hit one another. The children apparently didn’t suffer any serious injuries.

Hillary Clinton’s dominoes appear to be toppling over as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), inspectors general from a number of government agencies, and a equally large number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that investigate and expose government corruption intensify their investigations of Clinton and her minions, according to news reports on Thursday. While the focus of the probe is Clinton’s privately-owned Internet server being used for the transfer of classified intelligence, the probe may also encompass her husband’s financial bonanza allegedly accumulated through speeches for foreign entities with whom his wife conducted State Department business as the Secretary of State

Amber is one of those free-spirited people who takes even incredible hardships and turns them into adventures, inspiring others in the process. When her young family wound up homeless, through no fault of their own, she and her husband Krishna Mehta made the best of it. Their children didn’t even know that they were homeless; they thought that they were having great adventures and making lots of friends.

This latest chapter in their saga, however, is a nightmare, and the rainbow is really hard to find in the storm that Child Protective Services has allegedly brought into their lives. Their children, ages 6, almost 2, and 9 months, have been seized by CPS and placed into 3 different foster homes. The two babies were still being breastfed. Social services has gone so far as to accuse Amber of having a mental disorder because she is “homeless.”

Tammi Stefano interviewed Amy Duran on Friday August 28th on The National Safe Child Show. Amy is a mother who had her son taken by Los Angeles County’s Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) with the help of the Police Department. Vindictive people used DCFS and local law enforcement to kidnap Amy’s son, and to put Amy into a holding cell in a detention center where she was told she would spend the next 12 years, even though she had violated no laws and was not convicted of any crimes. During this time, Amy fainted several times, and could not tell the difference between night and day as there were no windows in the cell.

Amy never gave up, however. She fought back, and over three and a half years later she won her case and had her son returned to her custody. Her son was kidnapped by DCFS when he was 11 months old, and at age 4 he has now spent half of his life away from his mother and in foster care with strange people.

Here is Amy’s story, showing an example of how LA County DCFS does not protect children, but destroys families.

In a stunning new development on the Isaiah Rider case, a social worker from Illinois told Isaiah Wednesday that if he were to decide to move out on his own when he turns 18 next week, he would be arrested.

Missouri resident Isaiah Rider is not a criminal, nor is he in any way incompetent. Far from it. He is a good student with ambitions of becoming a doctor in the future.

But another state is controlling his life, and a caseworker from the state of Illinois DCFS (Child Protective Services) is making it clear that there will be serious repercussions for Isaiah when he becomes a legal adult if he tries to escape the control of DCFS.

The Rider family is reeling from this new revelation.

Like most normal teenagers, both in their familial homes and in foster care, Isaiah has eagerly been anticipating that magical day of freedom – his 18th birthday. That will happen on August 27. But after a visit today from a Missouri social worker, those hopes have been dashed.

Allegedly, Illinois DCFS is paying for a Missouri social worker to drop by the home on occasion where Isaiah is living in Missouri. He currently resides with his grandparents, who are acting as foster parents, because DCFS seized Isaiah from his mother’s custody 16 months ago while he was having a surgical procedure done at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
